Measurements of bubbly pipe flow utlizing Particle Image Velocimetry
Sinopsis
Modeling bubbly flows requires detailed information about the full field velocity of the liquid and gas phases and bubble shapes. Such information is not widely available. In this study,
three-dimensional measurements of bubble size, path and shape are constructed by using a stereoscopic shadow technique. The full-field velocity of the two-phases are obtained using particle image velocimetry.
