Résumé

Heat transfer phenomena of mist cooling by water mist drops sprayed vertically on a heated surface are classified into the low temperature, the transitional and the high temperature regions according to thermal behaviors of liquid films formed from mist drops. These behaviors are simplified as a evaporating state from liquid film (E-state) and a film-boiling-like state (F-state). Every liquid film necessarily appears either in E-or in F-state with probability eE or eF. Thus, mist cooling is determined as the probability phenomenon.
