PECULIARITIES OF HEAT TRANSFER PROCESSES IN MAGNETIC FLUIDS
Résumé
The present work is concerned with the analysis of specifics of heat transfer processes in magnetic liquids. In theoretical aspect, the tasks of thermomagnetic convection in paramagnetic solutions are closely related to those of free convection with acceleration due to gravity depending on spatial coordinates. When considering the convection of magnetic colloidal solutions, the magnetic deceleration of inner rotations has to be taken into account since this leads to anisotropy of effective viscosity, as well as to its dependence on magnetic field intensity. The inner rotations cause an increase of the amount of dissipative heat release and might give rise to new transfer phenomena. It has been also shown that under non-isothermic conditions thermomagnetophoretic transfer of particles takes place.
