Résumé

The burnout mechamism has been studied by investigating the effect of nonuniform heat flux distribution along the channel length and determining local characteristics of a two-phase flow. The experiments on the sections with various form factors at 2.9−16.7 MN/m2 and 750−3000 kg/m2s have revealed the effect of nonuniform heating on burnout. The physical model explaining this phenomenon has been proposed.

The air- and steam-water high pressure flow patterns in channels were studied by optical pulse holography. Special equipment and double-beam optical holographic schemes have been developed. A possibility to apply holography for this purpose has been shown. The photographs of 3-dimensional images of various two-phase flow patterns reconstructed from the holograms are presented.
