Résumé

An analysis has been made of the drag, heat and mass transfer (evaporation) coefficients as well as the water surface velocity of a wavy water surface induced by wind. Equations for evaluating the above four parameters have been derived and the variation of the above variables with wind speed and fetch is observed. It has also been shown that the coefficients can be correlated with the Froude number using the fetch as the characteristic length for practical purposes.
