Résumé

Heat transfer was investigated for vapour-liquid mixture of Refrigerant 12 flowing in an electrically heated horizontal tube. Flow patterns were observed through sight glasses and heat transfer data were classified into three groups according to flow patterns. Clear correspondence between flow pattern and mechanism of heat transfer was found out. "Boiling" was suggested for stratified flow and convective nature of heat transfer was found out for annular flow. Experimental equations obtained for each flow pattern were presented.
