CONDENSATION OF R-ll VAPOR FLOWING DOWNWARD OUTSIDE A HORIZONTAL TUBE BUNDLE
Résumé
An experimental apparatus used to measure heat transfer coefficients during shear influenced condensation of Refrigerants outside of a horizontal 30° staggered layout tube bank is fully described.
Experimental data are reported for the condensation of R-ll, with inlet free stream velocity ranging from 0.5 to 4.2 m/s, the maximum vapour velocity within the tubes reaching 17 m/s.
Heat transfer data are compared with predictions from existing correlations taking into account both the effects of vapour shear and condensate inundation.
