Résumé

Interfacial flow structures and volume-time history of small binary liquid drops evaporating on flat plates are investigated by an accurate optical method based on holographic and shearing interferometrу. It is revealed that the interfacial instability of binary liquid drops strongly depends on the excessive free-energy of surface and crispation number. An interfacial flow map is constructed for the binary droplet evaporations to define the domains of the interfacial flow structures. The drop volume-time history is determined by means of calculating the change in a set of Moire fringes with time, which is recorded by a video recorder or movie camera. The concentration effect on the binary drop lifetime is testea as well.
