HEAT TRANSFER IN POROUS MEDIA WITH A LIQUID FLOW
Résumé
The present study deals with heat transfers in porous media that is crossed by a liquid. Experimental analysis is based on the representation of the temperature range throughout the volume in the enclosure containing the porous media. Thus, the temperature values are evaluated at all points in the sample, studied using interpolation from local readings. The experiments are carried out at atmospheric pressure. The heat transfers are studied in single-phase and two-phase (boiling) conditions.
For single-phase flow (liquid), temperature values obtained from experiments and calculation are compared. When transition from liquid to vapor phase occurs, the experimental method is used to follow the evolution of the temperature values and to show up the appearance of the boiling phenomenon until a stationary condition was reached.
