Résumé

Molten salt steam generator is a very important device for thermal energy conversion from molten salt to steam in solar thermal power station and molten salt reactor. Coiled tube type molten salt steam generator has many advantages as low thermal stress and strong secondary flow. In this paper, heat transfer performance of coiled tube type molten salt steam generator has been numerically studied. According to flow boiling phenomena, the coiled tube can be divided into three regions: liquid phase region, vapor-liquid two phase region and superheated vapor region. In liquid phase region and superheated vapor region, the fluid is heated by molten salt, and its temperature gradually increases along the flow direction. In the vapor-liquid two phase region, the local heat transfer coefficient and wall temperature are affected by the phase distribution. The outer wall temperature is normally lower than the inner one because of the secondary flow. Inside the coiled tube, the liquid drop and group are periodically expulsed out by high pressure steam, so the steam generates periodically. In addition, the vapor fraction, flow velocity and temperature in the outlet are periodical and synchronic with each other, and they are mainly affected by the size and output frequency of the attached liquid droplet.
