TRANSIENT HEAT TRANSFER AND CRISIS
Results of experimental investigation of heat transfer and boiling crisis are presented for different transient conditions in the parameter rane of PWRs. Test results are extensively analysed with regard to heat transfer up to and including boiling crisis. Computer code predictions are compared with experimental data. The analysis covers power excursion, loss of flow and blowdown accident s. It is shown that the homogeneous flow model coupled with the local instantaneous approximation is an appropriate tool for transients of quite different types.
