The present study evaluates numerically convection heat transfer of swirling flows in a cylindrical cavity with rotating top. The Generalized Integral Transform Technique (GITT) was used to obtain a hybrid analytical-numerical solution of the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes and energy equations in terms of streamfunction only formulation, in which the Boussinesq approximation was used for the buoyancy force.
