要約

Effects of gravity and surface tension on filmwise /dropwise condensation of steam on raw/ oil infused nanograss (OIN) film coated outer surfaces of horizontal stainless steel tubes, with outer diameters greater than the capillary length of water (2.5mm at 100 °C) are investigated experimentally. Experiments were carried out with a constant coolant flow rate of 0.6 L/min of water in the tube, and results show that heat transfer always increased with a decreasing diameter, regardless of film condensation or dropwise condensation. Compared with film condensation, impact of tube outer diameter on heat transfer performance of dropwise condensation is small.
