Resumo

Water and Freon 113 boiling inception is experimentally studied with two morphologically different nickel heating surfaces during surface temperature linear increasing. The classical theory of boiling inception, properly applied to the actual situation, proves to be effective to predict bubbles waiting times for water with slow rates of the surface temperature. Increasing of the above rate seems to give origin to time delays that, on the other hand, always exist for boiling of Freon 113.Waiting times for Freon 113 higher than those obtained with water are observed at the same rates values and for the same surface.
