AN INVESTIGATION OF NUCLEATE BOILING HEAT TEANSFEE OF HELIUM
Resumo
The results of experimental investigation of nucleate pool boiling of helium on the upwardfacing surface of cylindrical rods made of different materials are presented. Boiling heat transfer coefficients are shown to be the function of thermal properties of the heating surface material and to grow when the complex k/ √a of a metal increases.
On the basis of the analysis of the main internal characteristics of nucleate boiling-vapour bubbles growth rates and vapourization centers density - the correlation for prediction of boiling helium heat transfer coefficient was obtained, the nature of heating surface having been taken into account.
