PHOTONIC SYSTEM FOR TEMPERATURE RADIOMETRIC MEASUREMENTS
Resumo
Optimal behaviour in energetic characterization of high temperature processes is often submitted to the evaluation of parameters such as temperature. There are few techniques and associated sensors relevant to high temperature.
Optical fibers appear as a new means of radiation observation and conduction. The National Bureau of Standards (NBS) has already developped a pyrometer which uses fiber optics [1,2]. However, the operation of photonic, systems remains delicate, especially when used under rough conditions.
The elaborated system is composed of an exploration probe, which contains a "naked" fiber without any focusing device, a detection package and an electronic system for signal processing. This is a modular system, suitable for specific measurement needs.
