TURBULENT HEAT TRANSFER IN THE SEPARATED AND REATTACHED FLOW AROUND AN INCLINED DOWNWARD STEP
Resumo
An experimental investigation was conducted on the
turbulent heat transfer in a two-dimensional separated
and reattached flow around an inclined downward step.
Reynolds number tested was 62000 and the step angle was
varied systematically from 90 ° to 15 °. Heat transfer characteristics are clarified along with the turbulent velocity and temperature fields for several step angles. The large scale vortex structure shed from the reattachment region and its correlation with the heat transfer behavior are investigated using the conditional sampling technique.
