Аннотация

An explicit finite difference method is used to solve the boundary layer form of the conservation equations of mass, momentum, and energy in differential form for the flow development section of a tube under conditions of high cooling rates for laminar and turbulent flow of gases and for wall heating of high Prandtl number liquids in turbulent flow. Variable properties were taken into account. Turbulent transport models are discussed and some apparent contradictions noted for high Prandtl number flows. Several comparisons with experimental data are presented.
