Аннотация

A thermosyphon may be defined as a fluid system where circulation of the fluid occurs due to the presence of temperature gradients and the simultaneous action of a body force. Whereas one usually associates a body force as being due to the earth's gravitational field, the centrifugal and Coriolis forces acting on a rotating body may, in the case of a thermosyphon, also promote circulation of the fluid. Under these circumstances it is shown that the thermosyphon may have desirable features for the cool ing of certain rotating components.
