摘要

Hot stamping has emerged as a propitious technology in the automotive sector due to its energy-conserving and safety-centric characteristics. However, the conventional approach of using indirect cooling channels has been constrained by thermal resistance, which restricts the scope for improving the cooling efficiency. To overcome this limitation, novel fractal micro channels for direct cooling have been proposed for die in hot stamping. Empirical investigations were conducted by varying the thickness of the blank and the holding time of the press to obtain the average blank temperature. The average blank temperature exhibits an initial rapid decline followed by a gradual decrease, which is attributed to the diminished temperature differential between the cooling channel and water.
