Abstract

This paper presents the experimental results of bilateral heat transfer to sodium flowing in an annulus under the condition of both equal and unequal heat fluxes from both walls. And semi-empirical equations for both inner and outer walls are derived. The results show that bilateral heating has an obvious effect on heat transfer for liquid metals with smaller Prandtl numbers.
