Abstract

The data of Carreau, Charest and Corneille (1966) and SandaDand Patel (1970) to agitated non-Newtonian fluids in jacketed vessel have been analysed. Rheological properties corresponding to a cylinder rotating in infinite fluid have been demonstrated to describe the flow behaviour. The use of apparent viscosity in Reynolds and Prandtl groups has been found to present a single valued correlation for both Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids.
