Convective Heat Transfer under a Rotating Flow
Abstract
The convective heat transfer coefficients were determined along the bottom plane of a cylindrical enclosure in
the case of a rotating flow inside. Six nozzles along the perimeter of the cylindrical flow chamber produced the
rotating flow. The rotational angles of the inlets were varied during the experiments. The so-called "heated-skin"
method was used to determine the overall and local heat transfer coefficients. The results are presented in
dimensionless form as functions of the flow rate and rotational angles.
