An experimental study of upward and downward foam flow in a small test bundle

Abstract

In this paper experimental results of heat transfer of staggered bundle of tubes to upward and downward static stable foam flow are presented. The experiments were performed on the model of heat exchanger. The cellular foam flow as heat transfer agent was used in this model. The experiments were provided for the tube bank consisting of the three lines. The results of investigation are discussed from the standpoint of the influence of tube position in the line and of the influence of foam flow direction.
