Abstract

In this paper, a natural convection cooling of a heated vertical strip embedded in a plate is investigated. These investigations consist of following three parts: (1) The experimental arrangement and the experimental principle of the laser speckle photography are presented; (2) Dimension-less correlating expressions of heat transfer of the vertical strip are deduced by means of the dimensional analysis method, where coefficients are determined by means of experimental data; (3) Concluding remarks are proposed based on the analysis of experimental results.
