Abstract

A pyrometric temperature measurement procedure is presented. It is applied in order to measure the temperature of thin evaporting liquid films in the area of the ambient temperature without contact and without repercussions. In order to achieve a measurement accuracy of 0.1 − 0.5 K, the measurement values of the pyrometer must be corrected afterwards with an arithmetical program. Stray radiation in the order of magnitude of the measurement signals is worked out by this program. The principle of the arithmetical program is described. It is shown experimentally that the correction calculation is then particularly important when the mixture of liquid to be tested has a high transmissivity. As examples 1 mm thin films of Dichloromethane and Ethanol are evaporated in the tests.
