Abstrakt

High speed photography has been employed to study film motion, to measure its thickness and wave pattern over a horisontal heated plate in laminar, laminar-wave and turbulent-wavy flows (Ref =80+2500 and Ref = 800+150.000) at the constant pressure P=0,06 Pa, with heat flux variation from qw =0 up to qw = qcrw. Plow modes are determined at which solitary waves (solitons) are of importance in hydrodynamics and boiling processes. The data are obtained on basic elementary processes (mechanical entrainment of liquid droplets and entrainment by bubbles) and burnout heat fluxes.
