NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION OF RADIATIVE-CONVECTIVE HEAT EXCHANGE ON A SEMITRANSPARENT PLATE
Abstrakt
The paper presents a computational study of unsteady radiative-convective heat exchange between a semitransparent plate and absorbing, emitting, and scattering turbulent gas flow around it. A conjugate statement of the problem is used which takes into account the thermal interaction of the plate with the gas flow.
Radiation transport problem was solved by the modified mean-fluxes method developed for two-layer system. Allowance is made for a selective character of optical properties of the plate and incident external radiation.
The results of calculations for two kinds of glass in conditions of glass production furnaces are presented. An influence of governing characteristics on a plate heating is analyzed.
