SOME PROBLEMES ON POOL BOILING HEAT TRANSFER
Abstract
The measured results of temperature fields in the bubble and its liquid environment with water boiling at pressure of 0.29 bar and data for heat transfer by vapor at 0.29 and 0.68 bar are presented. The temperature was measured by a thermocouple with simultaneous filming in two projections. At a short distance from the surface the change of the liquid temperature due to a bubble formation is compared with the wall-liquid temperature difference. The overheat of the boundary layer of the detached bubble may reach 10% of the temperature difference. The results obtained are discussed and compared with the results published in the literature.
