HYPERSONIC LAMINAR CAVITY HEAT TRANSFER
Abstract
Chapman's analysis of laminar separated flow heat transfer is extended to Include (1) the effect of upstream boundary layer thickness on the separated shear layer development, and (2) the effect of unequal core and wall temperatures. The method is verified by comparison with hypersonic cavity heat transfer data, including previously unpublished Mach 10 results for cavity length-to-depth ratios of 5.and 15.
