A TURBULENT BURST MODEL FOR ENERGY TRANSFER IN THE HALL REGION
Abstract
A general surface renewal model of the turbulent
burst phenomenon is developed in this paper
for energy transfer in the wall region which accounts
for the effects of inrush and ejection as
well as the three-dimensional convective interaction
between the large scale coherent structures.
In addition, a practical analysis of fully turbulent
convection heat transfer is developed by interfacing
the wall model with a classical eddy
diffusivity representation for the turbulent core.
