HYSTERESIS EFFECTS IN INCIPIENT BOILING SUPERHEAT OF FREON 11
Sinopsis
This experimental investigation was undertaken to study the temperature profile and hysteresis effects in incipient flow boiling of Freon 11 in a uniformly heated tube. The experiments covered a flow range of 8 ft/min to 60 ft/min (1570 < NRe < 11,850).
The results obtained for incipient boiling superheats are compared with the values predicted by the existing theoretical model derived by Chen and a fairly good agreement is found.
