HOLOGRAPHY IN HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER
Résumé
Holography provides several new interferometric techniques, which can be used for heat and mass transfer measurements. After a short discussion of the basic optical set-ups,
these new techniques are explained in detail. Numerous examples demonstrate the practical applications. Compared with conventional Mach-Zehnder interferometry, holographic
interferometry has many advantages. Any imperfections of windows, mirrors and lenses are eliminated. The experimental effort is reduced considerably and the costs of the equipment are low.
