SIMULATION OF CONDENSER PRESSURE LOSSES BY POROUS TUBES WITH SUCTION
要約
Work on pressure losses in banks of porous
tubes of sintered bronze, which permit part of the
air flowing across them to be sucked away to simulate
the mass transfer in condensers, has been
carried out with in-line square, equilateral
triangle, and triangular with constant-gate arrays.
The bank was up to seven rows deep, with seven
tubes across the flow, having transverse pitch-diameter
ratios of 1.25.
Results are presented in terms of pressure coefficients and friction factors, for ranges of Reynolds number and mass extraction typical of vacuum and process condensers. They are compared with published and the authors' own no-suction correlations or results.
