POOL BOILING HEAT TRANSFER INSIDE A TWO-PHASE THERMOSYPHON
CORRELATION OF EXPERIMENTAL DATA
要約
Heating zone heat transfer inside a two-phase thermosyphon is considered for cases of large amounts of filling, i.e. with the heating zone completely filled by liquid. Experimental results from literature, supplemented by own measurements, are analyzed - 2529 data points in all. They include wide ranges of working fluids (11 different substances: water, alcohols, refrigerants, etc.), saturation temperatures (0°C ≤ ts ≤ 260°C), pressures (0.01 ≤ ρ ≤ 39.5 bar), inside lube diameters (2.5 ≤ d ≤ 45 mm), heated lengths (50 ≤ L ≤ 3450 mm), and inclination angles (0° ≤ φ ≤ 85°). The heat transfer data are classified and correlated in either of two regimes of two-phase natural convection - with and without nucleate boiling at the heating surface. Reasonable agreement ist obtained: 63 % of the heat transfer data are found to stay within a scatter of ± 30 %, nearly 89 % within ± 50 %. This is a remarkable improvement in comparison with correlations previously used.
