THE INFLUENCE OF SURFACE HEAT FLUX DISTRIBUTION AND SURFACE TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION ON TURBULENT FORCED CONVECTIVE HEAT TRANSFER IN CLUSTERS OF TUBES IN WHICH THE FLOW OF COOLANT IS PARALLEL TO THE AXES OF THE TUBES
Resumo
Experimental work is reported on the
influence of surface heat flux and surface temperature
distribution on the fully developed heat
transfer in triangular lattices of tubes of pitch-to-
diameter ratios 1.0, 1.1, 1.25 and 1.5. The
results are presented as functions "Which enable the
response of the lattices to be calculated for a
wide range of boundary conditions. The response to
the uniform heat flux condition is shown to be
simply related to the calculated wall shear stress
distribution and to differ considerably from that
predicted by other workers.
