Resumo

This study investigates the heat transfer performances of a fin-and-tube heat exchanger coated with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) according to the coating concentration. The heat transfer and the pressure loss of the CNTs coated heat exchanger are investigated at various CNT concentrations. The heat transfer performance increases owing to the enlarged surface area and the increased vortex effect as the concentration increases. The thermal-hydraulic performance of the CNTs heat exchanger with high coating concentration is higher than that of the CNTs heat exchanger with low coating concentration.
